Castle Steinhöfel has been built in the middle of the 18th century as a simple manor house. From 1797 David Gilly has completed the ensemble with a library in the style of a Greek temple, an administration office and further village houses. These buildings belong in the Mark Brandenburg to the examples of best quality of early classicism.
At the same time has been established the landscape park by Lenné with more than 40 hectares.
